Ten Things Tuesday...

I came up with a good one this week...

XBOX Wife Ten Things Tuesday

  1. I'm Thankkful that we were able to purchase a lot by the lake so we can take our kids camping/boating before they leave the house all grown up.
  2. That we have a camper to sleep in at night. We do own a couple of tents too but prefer the queen size bed to the ground or an air mattress.
  3. The food. Mmm. It just seems to taste better on the open fire. Pizza pies, hot dogs, chili, breakfast...You name it my husband can cook it.
  4. Nature that we can see and hear...from bugs, turtles, fish, chipmunks, geese, pelicans and more.
  5. Being able to sit out under the beautiful sky.
  6. Just getting away from the hustle and bustle of normal living.
  7. Spending time with family and friend.
  8. The new friends we have met and will be meeting in the near future.
  9. The memories we are making...
  10. That God above blessed me with all of this.

Thanks Mrs. X-Box...

June 26-28 at Silver Lake...

The kids have been wanting a trampoline for quite a while now, and we weren't quite sure if this was a purchase we wanted to make or not cuz I know everyone who has one sooner or later ends up taking their child to the emergency room. So Randy told the kids they could have one if they gathered up all the change they could find...or that we had been saving. So they jump right on that and Malissa and Zach counted alot of change to see if they were even close to getting one and as you can see...they were.
We also though this would give them something to do here

TEAM WORK.
Testing...1-2-3...
The first couple of jumps.

Jump...jump...jump jump!

With the wind blowing as crazy as it was...We thought we had better tie down the trampoline. So we had Grandpa use his sailor techniques with knots and stack down the trampoline.

Even Grandma wanted to jump! Way to go Grandma!

BFF = Bestest Friends Forever.

I think this picture may be a lil deceiving from the angle I shot it from, but no matter what R.J was FLYING HIGH!

Zach & R,J being cRaZy.

Malissa and Maycee had an fun time catching bullheads. I would say quietly fishy bite Malissa's hook and Poof there was a bite. So Maycee said I want to catch one...SO I repeated the words. Fishy bite Maycee's worm and Bam a fish bit. It was so funny.
Maycee's First fishy!

Then as each person came off the dock up to the deck were R.J and I where sitting they each made a comment like, "Ewe...gross." and waving their arms. I couldn't see a thing that they where swatting at so I thought I'd take a picture and above is what I captured. Not sure what they were...But it was, "Ewe...Gross!"

Time for some campfire smores. Mmm...

So finally we got to get the boat in the water a take a view of the lake from the water.

The Driver...

The passengers...

Sammy's first boat ride too. He loved it.

The girls had a fun time swimming in the water and playing in the MUD!

Then even decided to jump in with their clothes on. Silly girls. I love this picture!

The field portion of the land has now been planted with a combination of grass and clover. So after supper the girls and I decided to be a lil nosey and check out what other have been doing on their lots.
On Saturday night about 9:10pm a storm came rolling in. The sky was AMAZING.

The storm only lasted about 10 minutes but was so pretty...if a storm can be pretty watching it roll on through.
The main goal this weekend was to put a railing on the deck.

A close up of the corner caps. I love the color we choose. Brass with black speckles.

So with the help of Grandma & Pa Gebel and the boys...

Awe...so innocent.

The look came together. I felt like I was at some fancy resort while sitting in my lawn chair over looking the water.
Now to get the steps down to the dock built. It all takes time and of course there needs to be fun times too like...TUBING.

The weather was a tad bit windy but since we had the entire lake to our selves we decided to give tubing a try. So the kids began to blow up the H2O Inn tube thingy.

The boys go first in trying out the new tube.

as the girls look on.
Now their turn. We go a lil bit s-l-o-w-e-r for them...at first.

Then hang on...

It was a very fun, exciting, windy, pretty and productive weekend indeed!

Psalms 23...

Psalm 23The LORD is my shepherd,I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures;
he leads me beside still waters;
he restores my soul.
He leads me in right paths for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk through the darkest valley,
I fear no evil;
for You are with me;
your rod and your staff-they comfort me.
You prepare a table before mien the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD my whole life long.
Thank you to Heaven's Journey for this inspiration. I was reading her blog they other night and found a similar post. So I tweeted Heaven (and yes...that's her given name) and asked if I could borrow her post since I loved it so. And she obliged with no problems.
The pictures are from the weekend of June 12-14th at Silver Lake. The sun was shining so bright that morning that I snapped several pictures of the land scape. For in the next few years the view will change once home start to be built.

Look what came in the mail today...
