The End of Summer...

The bird (pelican) were absolutley beautiful on Saturday morning...There were soooo many of them. I'm afraid they are migrating south for the winter tho. :(So with the end of summer the dock must come out...another sad moment. :(

Then we piled them up and brought them home to be powered washed. Next year this time we won't have to do this. :)

Garage Floor and Floor Joist...

Pea gravel pile...for fill I guess...
Randy's mom helping us out...they had to bring more gravel in the level out and so it had to be flooded a coupe of times for the gravel to settle and we couldn't make it over there so...
Mom to the RESCUE!!

The basement egress window...This is will be R.J's room.

The basement floor is completely poured and the floor joist are going on.

This is looking into the entryway.

My Mom...Missing you everyday!

My Mom...

I Learned From You
I learned about love from you, your caring ways.
I learned about joy from you
In fun-filled yesterdays.
From you I learned forgiving
Of faults both big and small.
I learned what I know about living
From you, as you gave life your all.
The example you set is still with me
I'd never want any other.
I'm thankful for all that you taught me,
And I'm blessed to call you "Mother."

Mom's Hands
© REENA SHARMA revised by me...Linda
To the strongest woman I will ever know.
At first glance Mom's hands may seem meek and her grip could be weak.
But these hands are a reflection of the woman inside,
Who was still strong with so much love and pride.
Opening a jar could sometimes be a task,
but she'd do what she could if we'd only ask.
Don't let that mislead you for you must understand.
It's not what they can't do, but rather what they can.
These hands had the strength to raise a family right,
to wipe away our tears and hold us real tight.
Moms hand came together each day in prayer,
and whenever we'd need them, they're always right there.
So if these hands don't appear all that tough,
Remember they're full of tenderness and love and for us that's enough.

Mom's BEAUTIFUL garden...

God is near~ I love and miss you every day.

Silhoutte...

A couple of weeks ago...I was looking around ETSY...It a neat web site. People from around the world put all sorts of things up for sale...mainly handmade items...kinda like EBay, but here you don't bid you just buy. So I came across http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5709818 otherwise known as Le Papier Studio. Her actual website and fell in love with her items.
So I contacted her and from this picture ...Made this...
It actually is absolutely really neat...my camera however didn't quite capture the exact colors...Now to find a frame...Check Etsy out...you'll find yourself spend way too much time seaching just for the perfect gift.

Silver Lake...Home...

When you pull in the drive way this will be the 3 stall garage. Randy is sitting on the east edge.

The garage area looking west toward lot 12.

When I was there on Wednesday, 9-9-09...half of the basement was poured. They finished but I haven't been there to check that out. This section that is poured will be a bedroom and bathroom and a utility/storage room. Water heater, water softener...those sorts of things. Laundry however will be on the main. :)
The un-poured area will be a family room in the basement.
This will be the walk out basement. With sliding doors and windows. Looking in from the picture before. The shore line needs some work again. Randy did a little bit of fill in work. Now we need to make retaining walls.

Enjoying the view...thinking about our future...Lot 12's swing set...so pretty.
