Ten Things Tuesday...

I skipped last week and thought after reading my friends over at Seven Maters I better do one again and be Thankful so will be short and sweet.

XBOX Wife Ten Things Tuesday

  1. That no one was home when a fire broke out at a house today here in town. The home is pretty much a total loss but no one hurt. Thank the Lord for this. My prayers go out to this family.
  2. That my town has a volunteer Fire Dept that was dispatched and we had enough volunteers in town today with help from a neighboring community to help put the fire out.
  3. That I live in a caring community and people come together to HELP in this time of need.
  4. That I was able to go to 30/32 hours a week at my job and keep my benefits. They will be prorated. But I am OK with that. I know I probably should stay at forty but life is short and I have worked two or three jobs all my adult life until I got this position and now feel with my husbands job I need to be there to learn the books a lil bit. Plus my home could use lil bit of attention also. :)
  5. For my husband and friends who stood behind me in making this decision. God giving me the strength to stand up for my self. (It was a long week last week!)
  6. I am very Thankful that my husband hired a foreman. Whew...He was in the need for one for quite a while now.
  7. That we were able to find a new inexspensive mattress for my daughter. Her old one was a hand-me-down and I am thankful for that too, but the springs are sticking out.
  8. We painted Malissa's room pink and brown and found clearance curtains at Wal-Mart for just $7.00 and only $2.50 for the liner/shell. (Will post pictures when we get the new dresser and mattress delivered next week.)
  9. That someone recently opened a laundry mat in town...mine won't spin and the boys need jeans for school so ran a load up there and dried at home. Should be fixed on Wednesday.
  10. I'm sorta stealing this from Seven Matters that there is a tomorrow to get the laundry caught up. :)

Thank goodness no one was hurt in the fire. Fires are so scary.

Congratulations with your decision to stay home more.

I'll say a prayer for the family that had the fire too. It's good that no one got hurt, but I can't imagine the loss they must feel.

Good for you for doing what you feel is right and coming down in hours! God will honor that.

Can't wait to see the pics of the bedroom!

Sorry to hear that you have to go to the laundry mat but at least it's there. Way to look on the bright side!

Yes, there's always tomorrow! As for today, thanks for stopping by even though I know you are busy! :)

Blessings!
Melissa
