Malissa's Updated Bedroom...

Last January I bought some "words" from a friend of mine and we let Malissa pick out her paint colors for her room. Hot Pink and Chocolate brown... Well we painted her room last winter, but last night I just finally got around to it or got my nerve up to put those words on her wall...

Malissa placed second...Woot Woot...I'm so proud of her...even tho there was only two in her age group. :) Onward to state for her too.

Happy 81st Birthday Dad...Grandpa...

Most of the family got together on Saturday October 3rd to help my Dad celebrate his 81st Birthday(actually Oct. 2nd)...It's not everyday you know someone who is turning 81 so we decided to grill Dad steak. Here is Andy, Larry and Randy tending to the grill. Mmmmmm...Looking good...and it was Delicious!

What is this you are wondering? Well it a redneck Baked Potato cooker.
Eleven years ago when we celebrated Dad's 70th birthday we needed a way to bake about 100 potatoes so out to the grove the guys went and came up with something similar to this. It consist of a old tractor tire rim topped with a wash drum from a washing machine, a barrel in the middle with the coals (Wood) on fire to cook the taters that are placed out side the barrel but inside the washtub...Works perfectly to "Bake" a whole lot of taters at one time.

Homecoming 2009...

Homecoming is a fun filled week for the kids...They even had a short week of school with no classes on Monday because of a teachers in service.

So here is Malissa all dressed up for "MiSs MaTcH DaY! The High School how ever had "Nerd Day" Sohere are my boys...They crack me up...

They also had costume day and yes I sent my kid to school dressed as a COW!

Homecoming Night October 2, 2009.

Malissa and her best-est friend Maycee all decked out for the Homecoming halftime routine. They danced to the song "I got a Feeling" by the Black Eyed Peas. This happened to be one of the COLDEST nights. But we all survived.

This year is Malissa's first year of Volleyball. So for six Saturday's in a row off we go EARLY in the morning headed to towns any where from 30-60 minutes away. But what else do I have to do? Clean my house?

R.J...Cross Country...

This year R.J decided to go out for cross counrty. His team is currently ranked 9th in the state. His team has really great chance of going to STATE. I am so proud of him and his team!

I"ll keep ya posted on the "Going to State" thing...

Zachary's 14th Birthday...Football...

It was official...on September 23rd at 11:15pm my lil boy turned 14 and now has a driving permit. Grandma Karla made Zach his birthday cake. I love it...and Zach loves playing FOOTBALL! So here is a couple shots of one of his five games he has this season. Zach plays tailback and is number 43...but if you look closely his arm says 24. What's up with that?
